Nikon 14-24mm (yesterday)
The beast, the best in its segment. No one can stand near him. Amazingly sharp and fantastically fast. Pure ultra ultra wide angle lens.
Client dropped it in a wedding accidentally and its zooming stopped working. Lens was just moving a CM more forward towards 24 only. And you all knows what happened when these kind of accidents happens with someone. How they feel than. My client felt the same. Nervous, tensed and hopeless. Warranty expired a couple of days before. And I feel sometimes that when your gadget warranty expires, your gadget starts troubling only then. Somehow lens came to me and it was my first time to open it. And in the shadows of the undergoing evening, I have started opening it. Layer by layer, screw by screw, and with every heart-aching breath, I reached to the end. Due to impact of the falling force, one spare part got faulty, and as I saw the broken part I felt ""oh shit all labour went into waste"" but just then an idea came up in the mind and I have just made the JUGAAD for that broken part. And "Voila" what a JUGAAD it was that I really felt proud on myself that time. I have disassemble the lens and ""YEAH"" it was working like a BEAST.
Nobody could tell the difference that it just got repaired. Although it took me 3.5hours for whole process and I had to took a last metro from CHANDNI Chowk. But it's all worthy. Now I am feeling like I AM EXPANDABLE.
